Three-time Defensive Player of the Year J. Blank Belgium Jersey .J. Watt has undergone back surgery and could be in doubt for the Houston Texans season opener. Watt will begin training camp on the physically unable to perform list and the timeline for his recovery is unclear, making him doubtful for Houstons Week One game against the Chicago Bears on September 11. Watt, 27, is widely considered as the top defensive player in the NFL and has never missed a game during his stellar five-year career at defensive end.A four-time Pro Bowler, Watt led the league in sacks last season with 17 1/2 and helped the Texans finish top of the South Division to make to the playoffs for the first time since 2012.But he also played through various injuries, including a herniated disk in his back. Kevin De Bruyne Jersey .com) - The disappointing Ottawa Senators hope to record consecutive wins for the first time since early November, as they visit the Boston Bruins on Friday for the opener of a home-and-home series. Axel Witsel Belgium Jersey . Pistorius mindset when he stood on his stumps in a bathroom and pulled the trigger on his 9 mm pistol in the early hours of Feb. 14, 2013 remains the crux of the South African trial that has captured worldwide attention and is about to start its seventh week of globally televised proceedings. It was initially scheduled to run for three weeks.(SportsNetwork.com) - Best record in the NBA. Check. Best road record in the league. Check. A franchise-best winning streak. Check. The Golden State Warriors have it all together and they will shoot for a 16th consecutive win Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans in the Big Easy. Golden State opened a three-game road trip with Saturdays 105-98 victory against the Dallas Mavericks, so the record winning streak could be at risk on short days rest. The Warriors became the first team to reach 20 wins (20-2) and Stephen Curry led three players with at least 20 points in Big D. Curry finished with 29 points and handed out eight assists, and is shooting 50 percent from the floor and averaging 24.0 points and 7.6 assists over his past 10 games. Klay Thompson netted 25 points and made 5-of-11 3-pointers, while Draymond Green delivered 20 points and eight boards. Fifteen wins in a row, its hard to fathom, said Thompson. This is a special group. The Warriors have been special on the road, going 12-1 with nine straight wins outside of Oakland. Golden State has won 30 of the last 39 road games. It is first in field goal percentage (48.0) and third in scoring with 106.7 ppg. Opponents are scoring 95.7 ppg against the Warriors. Golden State hasnt lost since Nov. 11 versus San Antonio and will close the road trip Tuesday at Memphis. The Pelicans recently disposed of LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers with Fridays 119-114 victory, but it came with a price. Young star Anthony Davis suffered a bruised chest in the first quarter and diid not return. Dedryck Boyata Belgium Jersey. Davis played only seven minutes, scoring eight points and grabbing one rebound, and is questionable Sunday. The Pelicans picked up the slack without Davis in the lineup and were led by Tyreke Evans 31 points and 10 assists. Ryan Anderson hit 8-of-14 3-pointers en route to 30 points and Jrue Holiday chipped in 16 points and eight assists. James paced the Cavs with 41 points on 17-of-24 shooting, but New Orleans shot 55.7 percent and hit 12-of-28 from beyond the arc. To beat a team like that without AD (Davis) and have as many contributions across the board was special, Pelicans coach Monty Williams said. Anderson felt the same way about the teams play without Davis. This was a game that we knew that we had to fight extra hard without (Davis), Anderson said. This was a huge win for us so Im really happy with the way we played. Davis, who spent Friday night at a hospital, is averaging 24.3 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.7 blocks. New Orleans has won three of four games and improved to 7-2 at home. The homestand will conclude Tuesday versus the Utah Jazz. The Pelicans and Warriors will play the second of four meetings Sunday, and Golden State posted a 112-85 win on Dec. 4 out west. Curry had 19 points and 11 assists in that one, and Davis pumped in 30 points and 15 boards. Golden State has won eight in a row against New Orleans and is unbeaten in the previous six trips to the Big Easy. Sundays game will feature some of the best long distance shooters in Curry, Thompson and Anderson. Cheap Jerseys Store Wholesale Stitched Jerseys China NFL Jerseys WhiteCheap Jerseys From China Discount NFL Jerseys NFL Jerseys Outlet Stitched Jerseys ' ' '
ACAPULCO, Mexico -- Top-seeded David Ferrer defeated fellow-Spaniard Feliciano Lopez 7-6 (1), 6-2 on Wednesday to advance to his fifth-straight Mexican Open quarter-finals. Mousa Dembele Belgium Jersey . Ferrer, trying to win his fourth title on Mexican soil, will next play South Africas Kevin Anderson, who eliminated American Sam Querrey,7-6 (2), 6-4. Also Wednesday, Gilles Simon (6) of France beat Donald Young of the United States 6-4, 6-3, Ukraines Alexandr Dolgopolov downed Frenchman Jeremy Chardy 6-3, 6-4 and Croatias Ivo Karlovic defeated Dudi Sela of Israel 7-6 (4), 6-2. On the womens side of the combined ATP-WTA tournament, top-seeded Dominika Cibulkova reached the quarterfinals with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Yanina Wickmayer of Belgium. "I..m still struggling with my serve, but I got another win so I..m happy", Cibulkova said. Cibulkova has won her first matches on tour since her run to the Australian Open final and is due to play Marina Erakovic of New Zealand, who defeated Serbias Bojana Jovanovski 6-1, 6-4. In other matches, No. 8 seeded Shuai Zhang of China beat Canadas Aleksandra Wozniak 6-1, 6-4; Americas Christina McHale knocked out Kimiko Date-Krumm of Japan 7-5, 6-1; Croatias Ajla Tomljanovic eliminated Victoria Duval of the United States 6-3, 6-0; and Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia downed Sharon Fichman of Canada 6-2, 7-5. Belgium Blank Jersey . The 25-year-old Lu, a regular on the Japan LPGA Tour after giving up her LPGA Tour membership in 2010, shot an 8-under 64 in windy, wet conditions at Kintetsu Kashikojima. Yannick Carrasco Jersey . According to the Red Wings Twitter feed, Zetterberg plans to practice with the team on Thursday and is aiming for a second round comeback. On the morning after the Tartan Armys invasion of Wembley, dozens of weary Scotsmen and approximately 10,000 beer cans lay strewn across Trafalgar Square - the traditional gathering point for any London-based football celebration. Following a very successful preseason for the Barclays Premier League (as clubs criss-crossed the planet delivering the BPL eulogy to the faithful), dont be surprised if you catch CEO Richard Scudamore sipping champagne from those very same Trafalgar Square fountains this weekend. Whist the debate rages on regarding the collateral damage caused to the national team - due to the league wide preference to import talent at the cost of providing top flight competitive football for English players - the BPLs global footprint continues to enlarge. Earlier this month, the well-regarded sportingIntelligence.com provided a statistical breakdown of all BPL players nation of origin. English-born players now represent less than 37 per cent of the overall talent pool in a season where we will see the very first Kenyan play in the Barclays Premier League - Southamptons Victor Wanyama. Outside of the four home nations of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, Wanyamas signing means the East African nation of Kenya will become the 100th different nation to have a player ply his trade in the BPL since the league was formed back in 1992. To understand how extremely popular and emotionally attached the locals are to their favourite club, one only had to witness scenes this summer as teams jetted into destinations like Jakarta, Bangkok, Sydney and Durban. Then when you factor in clubs who toured the U.S., its hardly surprising to read one UK newspaper claim the 20 BPL teams collectively racked up over 200,000 Air Miles. In other words, the equivalent of circumnavigating the globe eight times this pre-season. Although this will be the very first season we wont witness Sir Alex prowling the touchline in search of prey, the storylines will compel soccer fans across the globe to gather round their TV sets in record numbers every weekend between now and mid-May. The Barclays Premier League is now screened live in more countries than there are member states of the United Nations. Coincidentally this comes in a season where TV monitors will play an active role this season. My how Goal Line Technology will miss the worlds most famous Scotsman! Following the IFABs decision back in March to allow Goal Line Technology in football - Hawkeye, one of the two systems FIFA approved, has been installed this summer at all BPL stadiums. By the time beautiful B.C. fully awakes Saturday morning, we may have already witnessed the very first instance in world club football the video replay monitor will be the determinant on whether a ball fully crossed the line. Although very few disputed goal calls occur in any one season, it can only be a matter of time before GLT replaces AVB on the back pages of our newspapers. As for the debate over whether David Moyes can replicate the unprecedented success and riches his predecessor bestowed on Manchester United? If the stock market is anny indicator, it would seem so. Thomas Vermaelen Jersey. Ticker symbol MANU has gained over 10 per cent since the ex-Everton manager took over at Old Trafford on Canada Day. Speaking of splashing the cash (as opposed to the conversation settling on which one of the big names), outrageously-priced new players will dominate the BPL this season as the focus has been on the pending  departures of Gareth Bale, Luis Suarez and Wayne Rooney.  With every passing day and only 17 more sleeps until the transfer window closes, there stands a greater probability that Crystal Palace will win the title this season than these so-termed want away players all getting their wish this offseason. Of the top clubs garnering success in the transfer market by doing their shopping early and often, Manchester City stand head and shoulders above all other contenders. Cesc Fabregas still remains elusive for the champions and Jose Mourinho admitted telling fibs about whether or not Chelsea will table a third bid for Rooney. But lets just hope for the sake of his health that Arsene Wenger has more success at the grocery store then he does in the transfer market.  Ironically, the only manager in the BPL with an economics degree seems with each passing summer to become less capable of attracting the highest calibre players to the Emirates. Ferguson proved you could win with youngsters, but the manager who has bought more promising youngsters than any other manger in BPL history has yet to mould a winning team round that philosophy. Wenger cant ever be accused of not adding to his clubs bottom line. No one in England develops and then sells on their best players quite as effectively as the 63-year old Frenchmen who is just about to embark on a ninth season without any type of trophy. To me, the best story of this preseason hails from highly unfashionable Stoke. As BPL clubs continue to increase their revenues domestically and globally as they look to squeeze every last penny, baht or rupee from their fans - the club which was formed in 1863 when they became only the second-ever professional football club in existence are picking up the entire travel tab for their 3,000 supporters who will make the journey to Anfield Saturday morning. Yes - money will continue to dominate and players salaries will increase to yet more record levels, but how comforting it is to know that at least one club is not only recognizing and paying lip service to the financial sacrifice their supporters are willing to endure - but they are actually doing something about it? Something tells me when the pictures from Anfield this weekend are boomed into living rooms, roadside tea shops and shanty towns across the globe, Stoke City will have cut a swathe into that gap they currently have with the champions who claim 659 million followers worldwide. MIAMI -- Before the season started, a poll suggested that the Miami Heat were the overwhelming favourite to win the NBA title, collecting a whopping 76 per cent of ballots cast. Ricardo Pereira Portugal Jersey . The voters werent some know-nothings, either. No, this was a polling of NBA general managers. Things seem quite a bit different now. The Heat dont seem like locks for a third straight title anymore. San Antonio and Indiana are top seeds. Brooklyn, Chicago, the Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City, Golden State, Houston, Portland and the Heat all figure to have a legitimate chance at being the club to hoist the Larry OBrien Trophy in a couple of months. Usually, the NBA playoffs arent so wide open. Things might change over the next couple of months. "There are 16 teams that have a chance to win it," said Oklahoma City coach Scott Brooks, whose team is seeded No. 2 in the West. "If youre in the playoffs, you have a chance. There are some good teams. Any team can beat each other. The West is deep. There are two teams that are really good that didnt make it and had great years. Its definitely open. Theres a lot of good basketball teams that are fighting for the championship." For as good as San Antonio and Indiana were all year -- well, for most of the year in Indianas case, before the Pacers faltered down the stretch -- its never a certainty that the No. 1 seeds reach the NBA Finals. Its happened that way only 11 times in the last 35 years. Then again, the last time that there wasnt either a No. 1 or a No. 2 in the title series was 1978. So while upsets can happen, its not all that common to see bracket craziness -- akin to a No. 7 and No. 8 seeds Connecticut and Kentucky playing for the NCAA title earlier this month -- happening in the same NBA playoff season. "It is going to be tremendous from a fans standpoint, watching," Golden State coach Mark Jackson said. "It going to be a lot of fun." Brooklyns Jason Kidd has plenty of post-season experience as a player. He believes the NBA championship is up for grabs, but also probably knows history doesnt favour his sixth-seeded club. Since 1979, only five teams seeded No. 4 or lower in their conference have reached the finals. But Kidd sees reason for hope. "Its always wide open," said Kidd, the first-year coach of the Nets -- a veteran-laden team put together to win a title this season. "You guys sometimes limit it to just two teams but guys that are playing on a daily basis in the Western Conference and the Eastern Conference feel like theyve got a chance." This year, that doesnt just seem like coach speak. Take the East. On paper, the biggest mismatch is No. 1 Indiana against No. 8 Atlanta, especially because the Hawks are the only sub-.500 team in the playoffs. And just a couple weeks ago, the Hawks went to Indianapolis and absolutely embarrassed the Pacers, running out to a 32-point halftime lead in one of the more stunning games of the entire NBA season. "Theres some good teams out there," Pacers coach Frank Vogel said. "Every team in the playoffs have given us some problems. Weve been able to win against them as well. But its certainly shaped out to be a good conference." No. 5 Washington won the season series over No. 4 Chicago. Out West, the third-seeded Clippers and sixth-seeded Golden State split four meetings. Memphis ousted Oklahoma City a year ago and those clubs meet in the first round. And San Antonios quest to avenge last years loss in the NBA Finals starts against Dallas -- the last team to beat Miami in a seven-game series, winning the title in 2011. So there are some good stories, and theres intrigue with every first-round series. That doesnt mean everyone in the league thinks itll be a year laden with surprises. Philadelphia coach Brett Brown put it simply -- to him, the game changes in the playoffs, period. "The regular season and the playoffs are like two different sports," Brown said. "If you put me in a bubble and you drag me out in May, I can say this is different than the game Im seeing in November. Its just entirely different." Thats why Brown, a former Spurs assistant, thinks theres a very small number of teams capable of winning it all. "To be the last man standing is so ridiculously hard," Brown said. "People have no idea what its like to play in June." William Carvalho Jersey . ZAGREB, Croatia -- Croatia defender Josip Simunic lost his appeal at sports highest court on Monday, ruling him out of the World Cup for leading fans in a pro-Nazi chant after a playoff win. Casey Short Jersey . Announcing the ruling to uphold the 10-match ban, the Court of Arbitration for Sport said it unanimously rejected Simunics arguments and dismissed his appeal against the FIFA sanction. Simunics ban will start when Croatia opens the World Cup against host Brazil in Sao Paulo on June 12. Simunics lawyer, Davor Prtenjaca, slammed the ruling. "This was not the victory of justice, but the power of a big football association. FIFA had its ban based on political, not legal aspects," Prtenjaca said. Simunic invoked a World War II-era slogan used by Croatias then-puppet regime following a playoff victory against Iceland in Zagreb last November that qualified the Croatians for the tournament. After the match, Simunic took a microphone on the field and shouted to supporters: "To the battle, to the battle for the homeland!" The fans responded: "We are ready!" The slogan was used by Croatias Ustasha regime, which sent tens of thousands Jews, Serbs and Gypsies to death camps. "The expression used by Simunic was a clear and unequivocal reference to the call used by the (Ustasas)," CAS said. FIFAs disciplinary panel has said Simunics action was discriminatory and offensive. The sanction reflected its commitment to harsher sanctions for racism and discrimination at matches. "FIFA considers that CAS gives a clear and strong support to FIFAs efforts in stamping out racism in football," footballs governing body said in a statement. Simunic, who plays for Dinamo Zagreb, apologized after previously defending his action. After the initial reaction, he said: "Some people have to learn some history. Im not afraid. I did nothing wrong." The 36-year-old Australian-born Simunic, who has played 105 times for Croatia, was a probable selection for his third World Cup. At the 2006 tournament, he was sent off against Australia after being shown three yellow cards by the referee. His current ban is likely to mean the end of his international playing career. Simunic is also barred from stadiums where Croatia will play its next 10 official games. He was fined 30,000 Swiss francs (then $33,800) last December by FIFA. Rose Lavelle Jersey . Chelsea ripped apart Hull inside 25 minutes at Stamford Bridge, with the early goals from Oscar and Frank Lampard securing a 2-0 victory. While Lampard had earlier missed a penalty, Roberto Soldado had no such trouble from the spot for Tottenham, scoring on his debut to clinch a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace. Carli Lloyd Jersey . -- The Minnesota Vikings released reserve cornerback A.ABBOTSFORD, B.C. -- Forward Ben Street has been a welcome addition since being sent back to the Abbotsford Heat. Street scored once and assisted on Corban Knights winner late in the third period as the Abbotsford Heat edged the visiting Charlotte Checkers 4-3 on Wednesday in American Hockey League action. Street put a shot on net from the slot and Knight was parked in front of goaltender Mike Murphy to slide the rebound in to break a 3-3 at 16:27 of the third. "Whenever Street has the puck in the offensive zone you know something good is going to happen," said Knight. "I just went to the netaand lucky for me, it was a wrapped present." Street scored for the second straight night since being reassigned by the Calgary Flames and now has 19 goals 37 points in 33 games with the Heat. "Streets such an important part of this team, both on the ice and in the dressing room," said Knight. "He brings a calming presence and veteran leadership a lot of guys look up to. We knew hed be at the top of his game." The line of Knight, Street and Brett Olson - who had three assists in the game - was praised by head coach Troy Ward following the game. "They were our best line the last two games, consistently in all three zones," said Ward. "We threw Ben to the left wing, which he really hasnt done all year here. Hes usually a centre. There was a glimpse a couple months ago when Knight kept finding Street on the power play and he was burying goals. We knew there was some chemistry." With 20 seconds left in the contest, Abbotsfords Olivier Roy made the biggest of his 32 saves after sliding across to rob Charlottes Chris Terry on a back-door play to preserve victory. "That save at the end of the game, the sprawl out, thats a reaction save," said Ward. "Those types of saves he made all night. Its tough to win two in a row against any team in this league, andd tonight Roy was a big part of that. Megan Rapinoe Jersey. " Sven Baertschi and Markus Granlund also scored for Abbotsford (30-14-4), which won its fourth game in a row. Dan Biega scored his first two professional goals and Zach Boychuk had the other for Charlotte (22-22-1) while Murphy made 24 saves in defeat. The Heat opened the scoring when Baertschi buried his third goal of the season, taking a feed from Corey Locke and backhanding the puck over the outstretched glove of Murphy at 12:43 of the first period. The Checkers, however, tied the game a few minutes later. Charlotte broke out on a four-on-one rush and Biega finished a give-and-go with Brett Sutter, beating Roy five-hole. Granlund put the Heat back up by one just 1:21 into the second period, finish off a two-on-one with Olson while shorthanded. Granlund beat Murphy for his team-leading 21st of the season and fifth in as many games. The Checkers drew even again at 15:26 of the second. Boychuk skated in and wired a shot past Roy from the top of the circle, blocker side, for his team-leading 22nd of the year. Street put the Heat back up by one at 9:30 of the third. With the puck lost in a maze of skates at the right face-off dot, Street spun around and fired the puck past Murphy. Biega once again, though, knotted the game up for the visitors, driving out of the corner towards the net before sliding the puck under Roy at 11:11. Heat defenceman Tyler Wotherspoon thought he had the winner on his stick with less than six minutes to go when he got open in the slot, but Murphy kicked his left pad up into the air to deny him of the sure goal. "He had a good look, a good release," said Ward. "Thats an old-time save, a throwback, like Tommy Barrasso or Martin Brodeur, double stacking and throwing the pads up. It was a good save." Abbotsford will look to extend its four-game win streak Saturday when they host the Texas Stars. Cheap Jerseys Store Wholesale Stitched Jerseys China NFL Jerseys White Cheap Jerseys From China Discount NFL Jerseys NFL Jerseys Outlet Stitched Jerseys ' ' '
INDIANAPOLIS - Paul George is getting back on his feet. Mateus Uribe Jersey .Less than two months after sustaining a gruesome compound fracture of his right leg, team doctors have cleared the Pacers two-time All-Star to put weight on his injured leg and begin upper body work in the weight room.Hes down to one crutch or no crutches, coach Frank Vogel said Thursday at the teams annual golf outing near Indianapolis Motor Speedway. For the past three or four weeks, hes been doing core work, upper body work in the weight room, and they want him to put weight on it.Thats good news for George, who still hopes to beat the odds and return to the team later this season. Team doctors have told George while its likely hell make a full recovery, it may take 12 months. He was injured during a U.S. national team scrimmage Aug. 1 in Las Vegas when his leg snapped after colliding with a basketball stanchion. George told reporters last month that doctors placed pins in his knee and ankle to stabilize a rod that was inserted into the injured leg, which was broken in two places but did not damage any ligaments, tendons, joints or nerves. Three days later, he returned to his suburban Indianapolis home.Over the past several weeks, Georges workload has been ramping up. He could soon become more involved with his teammates -- many of whom have been working out in Indianapolis before training camp opens Tuesday. Some have seen or spoken with George regularly.Hes doing great, said free-agent signee C.J. Miles, who will help fill the scoring void. Hes in there every day lifting. It just shows his character and who he is, a guy who will do whatever he can to help his team win.Vogel knows having George around will provide inspiration for the team, and other players such as All-Star centre Roy Hibbert, power forward David West and point guard George Hill will be motivated to disprove those predicting gloom for the two-time Eastern Conference runner-ups in Georges absence.Vogel believes his 24-year-old star can provide help from the bench.Ive given him a clipboard to chart deflections and contested shots. We cant just let him sit around, Vogel said. Any time you have an opportunity to observe the game or your team or your system, I think it helps you grow your understanding of everything. It could help turn George into an even better player when he returns. After this tumultuous off-season, theres plenty George can learn.Hes missing friend and teammate Lance Stephenson, who signed with Charlotte in free agency; been involved in a paternity hearing and made the headlines this month after using his Twitter account to opine about former NFL star Ray Rice and domestic violence.George later deleted the offensive tweets and posted an apology, saying he didnt intend to downplay the situation.Pacers president of basketball operations Larry Bird responded a few hours after Georges initial posts with a statement that called the comments thoughtless and without regard to the subject of domestic violence and its seriousness in society.George also issued a second apology, and Vogel said team officials have spoken with George about using social media.Larry talked to him a lot about it and Ive talked to him a little about it, said Vogel, without elaborating. The immediate concern is making sure George gets healthy -- and figuring out how to replace Indianas best all-around player. George averaged 21.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists last season, earning his first All-Star start and a first-team selection on the NBAs all-defensive team. While the Pacers did receive a disabled player exemption, it didnt give the Pacers any salary cap relief and Bird has repeatedly said he wont go over the luxury-tax threshold. That means the roster is pretty much set. But Vogel isnt fretting.I think this has been my approach every year, whether youre a front-runner or an underdog, Vogel said. We have everything we need to compete at the highest level. Wilmar Barrios Colombia Jersey . - The Detroit Lions have placed tight end Brandon Pettigrew on injured reserve, ending his season. Miguel Borja Jersey . Unlike last year when nobody got in, there have been estimates of as many as five getting voted in this time around and as few as one, Greg Maddux. The New Jersey Devils added a veteran scoring winger who has trouble staying healthy, but is coming off a terrific season. Numbers Game looks at the Devils signing Mike Cammalleri. The Devils Get: LW Mike Cammalleri. Cammalleri, 32, has been a productive goal-scorer, topping 20 goals six times in his career, but hes also had a hard time staying healthy, missing at least 15 games in four of the past five seasons. However, if a team understands that injuries are likely to be part of the package, they can also understand that a healthy Cammalleri has not only has he been able to score, but last season he was really effective as an all-around player, putting up strong relative possession numbers despite facing high-quality opposition and starting more of his shifts in the defensive zone. Those relative possession stats were dramatically better than previous seasons, so that doesnt necessarily mean thats his standard level, but its some evidence that Cammalleri is more than just a triggerman. Hes joining a Devils team that already puts up strong possession numbers, but has been unable to finish enough. For whatever it might be worth, Cammalleri is also 7-for-20 (35.0%) in shootouts over the past five years, and while thats a little above average, its miles ahead of what the Devils mustered as a team last year, when they were 4-for-51 (7.8%) in losing all 13 shootout decisions. While Cammalleri plays frequently on tthe wing, hes also played centre -- took the second-most draws on the Flames in 2012-2013 -- and that could be useful for the Devils, who are going to have to mix and match some pieces up front, but have enough to put together three pretty solid lines. Davinson Sanchez Colombia Jersey. Adding a goal-scorer certainly addresses the Devils needs. They ranked 27th in the league with 2.40 goals per game last season, so adding a proven finisher is worthwhile. The trouble, as it often seems to be with the Devils, is that the term is steep for a 32-year-old. Maybe five years and $25-million is the going rate for what Cammalleri provides, but its hard to envision the Devils getting a positive return on investment when Cammalleri is 35 and 36-years-old. Sure, New Jersey has been getting great production from Jaromir Jagr and Patrik Elias, who are well beyond that age but, among 32 forwards who were at least 35-years-old last season, five managed to score more than 20 goals. The Flames will miss Cammalleri. They added Mason Raymond as a free agent, and Raymonds speed is an asset, but hes not the same kind of offensive threat that Cammalleri is, so its hard to expect that the Flames will thrive offensively without their third-leading scorer from last season. DONETSK, Ukraine -- Manchester United conceded a late equalizer in a 1-1 draw with Shakhtar to take a point from their Group A clash on Wednesday, giving David Moyes more than any other manager of an English club returning from a Champions League match in Donetsk. Lynn Williams Jersey . Moyes didnt get the morale-boosting win United needed after sluggish start in the Premier League, but the point was more than Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea managed in previous Champions League trips to Shakhtar. "It was a good point in the Champions League coming here, theyve got a great record against English teams here," Moyes said. "The team stood up well tonight, they got a good goal early ... and I thought we looked as if we were going to stop them scoring; we defended very well." Danny Welbeck gave United an unexpected lead in the 18th as he slid in between two players to finish off after defender Yaroslav Rakitsky failed to clear Marouane Fellianis low cross. But the highlights were rare for United. Shakhtars Brazilian attacking quartet of Douglas Costa, Alex Teixeira, Luiz Adriano and Taison created numerous chances and the continual threat paid off in the 76th minute, when Taison finally broke through with a powerful volley after Nemanja Vidic failed to clear a cross from Rakitsky. "United took advantage of our mistake, it was a chance goal," Shakhtar coach Mircea Liucescu said. "United then sat on its half of the pitch and played for counterattack. It was our plan to bring it on in the last 25 minutes, which is why the ball ended up in the penalty area of United often. Too bad we scored only once." Both teams had opportunities. Robin Van Persie tried his luck first in the 9th with a volley that sailed over the cross bar. Three minutes later Rakitsky seized possession and sparked an attack that lead to Luiz Adrianos narrow miss. A minute later Teirxeira fell to the pitch in the area but his appeal for a penalty was ignored. Rakitskiys free kick from 40 metres went just wide in the 50th minute and, despite relentlessly pressing forward, Shakhtar was held in check by the stubborn United defence until Taisons goal. It wasnt until the last 5 minutes that Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea was forced into making more meaningful saves. United was playing without Wayne Rooney, who was sidelined after clashing shins with Welbeck in training, and was coming off an upset loss to West Bromwich Albion on the weekend. Moyes said there were positives in the draw, and the fact United had a share of the lead in the group with four points, but he wasnt getting carried away with the result. "You have to win other games if were going to progress further in this competition," he said. "But I think on paper this looked a hard away tie and weve picked up a good point." Welbeck said the draw was a move in the right direction. "I dont think many teams come here and get three points," he said. "Were a bit disappointed, were Manchester United and we want to win every single game but coming here and getting the point, youve got to be satisfied with it." Abby Dahlkemper Jersey . "Its amazing to do this coming from such a small island, where tennis isnt necessarily recognized as one of the main sports," Puig said. "Im just happy Im able to be here playing tennis not only for myself, but for my country too. Casey Short Jersey . -- Miami Dolphins defensive co-ordinator Kevin Coyle defended the management style of coach Joe Philbin in the wake of the teams bullying scandal. On Wednesday, Wild forward Matt Cooke had a disciplinary hearing with the NHL after his knee-on-knee hit on Avalanche defenceman Tyson Barrie. As a result of the hit, Colorado has lost its top offensive defenseman for 4 to 6 weeks with an MCL injury. The CBA sets out the procedure for supplementary discipline. Its found at Article 18 of the CBA and is called "Supplementary Discipline For On-Ice Conduct". Article 18.2 of the CBA provides a list of the factors the league will consider when determining supplementary discipline. They are as follows: (a) The type of conduct involved: conduct outside of NHL rules; excessive force in contact otherwise permitted by NHL rules; and careless or accidental conduct. Players are responsible for the consequences of their actions. (b) Injury to the opposing Player(s) involved in the incident. (c) The status of the offender and, specifically, whether the Player has a history of being subject to Supplementary Discipline for On-Ice Conduct. Players who repeatedly violate League Playing Rules will be more severely punished for each new violation.  (d) The situation of the game in which the incident occurred: late in the game, lopsided score, prior events in the game. (e) Such other factors as may be appropriate in the circumstances. So the league will look at all these factors when determining the length of Cookes suspension. One factor that will be the focus will be Article 18.2(c) – Cookes history of violating league rules. To say the least, Cooke has quite the NHL rap sheet. Since 2009, hes been suspended a total of 25 games for hits on Scott Walker, Artem Anisimov, Fedor Tyutin and Ryan McDonagh. Hes also injured other guys with reckless hits, like Sam Gagner, Valeri Niichushkin, Adam McQuaid, Alex Ovechkin, Steve Montador, Evander Kane, Keith Yandle, Erik Karlsson and Rick DiPietro. Kelley OHara Jersey. And of course he ended Marc Savards career. By the way, the bolded language at 18.(c) is not my doing; the NHL CBA has it bolded so you know its important. The talk about being a repeat offender doesnt apply to the length of the suspension. A repeat offender refers to someone that commits a violation of the league rules within 18 months of another violation. A player that was a repeat offender could get a tougher punishment. Under the old 2005 CBA, repeat offenders were treated more harshly as far as length of a suspension goes. However, the new CBA has some changes in it, including doing away with the repeat offender consideration when assessing length of a suspension (its still around when dealing with suspension compensation – see Article 18.5). Presumably, the NHLPA and NHL were in agreement that the "repeat offender" provision did not capture players who spaced out their transgressions by more than 18 months but were still a threat to player health and safety. On that basis, they agreed to amend the CBA. You have to wonder if this change should be dedicated to Raffi Torres and Matt Cooke as they were likely part of the inspiration for the amendment. As far as length of Cookes suspension, its tough to know since past suspensions have not always been predictable. That being said, given Cookes history of violence, a suspension of at least 15 games would not be a surprise. Frankly, it could easily be more given the reckless and dangerous manner in which he plays the game. Indeed, he may get a high suspension given that Cooke Fatigue has undoubtedly set in. Cheap Jerseys Store Wholesale Stitched Jerseys China NFL Jerseys White Cheap Jerseys From China Discount NFL Jerseys NFL Jerseys Outlet Stitched Jerseys ' ' '
4) Do you think that there is a misconception about playing in Toronto or in Canada among players in the league? Some players dont really get to know the city of Toronto. Goncalo Guedes Portugal Jersey . Toronto is a great city, a great market and its the only team in Canada so the support is unbelievable and not a lot of players get that. To me, this experience has been one of the best lifetime experiences for me because the fans were so involved, the city were so involved and the whole country was so involved. The Toronto Raptors are a first-class franchise and its really where you want to be.5) Have you been to a hockey game since joining the Raptors and if so, what do you like most about the sport?Yeah I have. I went to a Leafs game and it was unbelievable fun. Its a very physical game and unfortunately they didnt fight when I was there. I like hockey, its very intense.6) Chris Paul said in a postgame interview that you talk too much. What kind of things do you say to get under other players skin? When I played against him in my third year when I was in New Orleans, I had some good games against him. Obviously Chris Paul is one of the best and I love to go against the best. We got into it and thats part of the game. I wasnt talking too much, if anything, Chris Paul is one of those guys who talk too much, but its cool, Im not mad at him or anything like that. I try to give him a good sweat and make him think that its not going to be easy for him to beat me.7) Whats your favourite thing to do in Toronto?I love to go to different restaurants. They have great restaurants, great food and theyre very diverse. I like that a lot, I like tasting different food.8) Heres a video of Jason Terry trying to flop against you and then come after you – whats your reaction when you see that? That was unnecessary, thats a veteran player and he knows that hes better than that. I was like "whats wrong with this dude"?9) Which member of the Raptors do you hang out with the most off of the court?I really love hanging out with Steve Novak, Landry Fields, Tyler Hansborough, but I have a great relationship with everyone. To me, this was the best team that Ive ever played with because the chemistry and the treatment of one another was really good.10) You used a lint roller on Toronto deputy mayor Norm Kelly. Did the lint roller thing with Drake become something that the team had fun with in the locker room? Its another way to get marketing and promotions, so I think its cool to use the lint roller and help people out. Its just fun to do things like that.11) Do you believe that Kyle Lowry will be in a Raptors uniform when the 2014-15 season begins?Yes.12) Whats your NBA Finals prediction and who will ultimately win?San Antonio against Miami and the Spurs win in 6 games. Manuel Fernandes Portugal Jersey . Irving played 10 minutes Sunday night before going to the locker room. He had two points and four assists, missing all five of his shots. The All-Star game MVP is the top scorer among Eastern Conference point guards with 21. Ruben Dias Portugal Jersey.com) - Coming off a pair of tough losses last week, the Syracuse Orange will try to put an end to their first losing skid of the season when they pay a visit to the Maryland Terrapins at the Comcast Center on Monday night in Atlantic Coast Conference action. Each week, TSN.ca Fantasy Editor Scott Cullen and NFL Editors Ben Fisher and Mitch Ward discuss three hot fantasy football topics. 1) Which player will come from nowhere to have a huge season like Alfred Morris last year? Cullen: While there arent any late-round rookie runners, Patriots wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins was undrafted and has been getting a lot of positive publicity in training camp, so maybe Tom Brady could drag Thompkins into being a productive first-year receiver. A better look for players coming from nowhere might be for running backs that are moving into starting roles for the first time. Miamis Lamar Miller, the Jets Bilal Powell, Denvers Ronnie Hillman and St. Louis Daryl Richardson arent necessarily household names -- none of them having rushed for even 500 yards in a season -- but they are at the top of their respective teams depth charts entering the season and if they are productive early, like Morris last season (he had 96 rushing yards and two touchdowns in Week One), that could solidify their role and any back that starts 16 games is going to have a very good chance to rush for 1,000 yards over the course of the entire season. From that group, I prefer Richardson ever-so-slightly over Miller. Fisher: I like Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy. Lacy was arguably a first round talent in the draft this year and joins an explosive offence. The Packers threw pretty much all the time last year, including in the red zone, but preseason reports say with Lacy they should be more inclined to stay on the ground close to the end zone. At 230 pounds he gives the team a legitimate goal line threat. With DuJuan Harris on injured reserve and Johnathan Franklin struggling in the preseason, Lacy will get his touches and get his yards. The question is how much hell score, but hell definitely get more than two (how many Harris and Brandon Jackson, the team co-leaders in rushing TDs, had last year.) Ward: Giovani Bernard. He enters the season behind BenJarvus Green-Ellis on the Bengals depth chart, but Bernard is more skilled than the Law Firm in almost every facet of the game. Gio has great speed, excellent lateral agility and is already building up his goal-line resume with three one-yard touchdowns in the preseason. Bernard likely wont put up Alfred Morris type numbers this season, but behind a very good offensive line in Cincinnati, theres a chance he could explode. I expect him to take over the Bengals backfield sooner than later and be a high-end RB2 by seasons end. 2) Who will have the better sophomore season among Robert Griffin III, Andrew Luck, and Russell Wilson? Cullen: Any of the three should be a viable fantasy starter this season, but the most upside rests with Luck, who has an improved supporting cast, including RB Ahmad Bradshaw and WR Darrius Heyward-Bey and some new faces on the offensive line. That stands in contrast to Wilson, whose big offseason addition, WR Percy Harvin, is injured and Griffin, who is his own injury risk, having not touched the field in the preseason as he recovers from knee surgery. Its low risk to take the No. 1 pick in the 2012 Draft to have the best sophomore year in 2013, but Luck threw for 4,374 yards as a rookie and its not out of the question that he has a chance at 5,000 yards this season. Fisher: The trend for picking quarterbacks in fantasy has been leaning towards the athletic read-option types. But the best fantasy QBs are still the top pure passers like Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning and yes, Andrew Luck. Everyone agrees that Luck will at some point in his career join that group of elite passers; I think hhe does it this year. Pepe Jersey. Reports out of Indianapolis say hes looked great and ready to take the next step; Luck should flirt with 5,000 yards passing this year and 30+ touchdowns. Griffin III and Wilson are unlikely to hit those lofty numbers through the air, and while their ability to gain yards on the ground will make up much of the difference, Luck is too much of a pure passing talent to go against, not to mention a lessened injury risk. Ward: You cant really go wrong here as I think all three guys are primed for very good sophomore seasons, but Im feeling Lucky too. Last season Luck threw for 4,374 yards and 23 touchdowns but completed only 54.1 percent of his passes and was intercepted 18 times. With a year of experience under his belt and new OC Pep Hamiltons more conservative, QB friendly system, I expect the completion percentage to go way up and the interceptions to go down. During his last two seasons at Stanford under Hamilton, Luck completed more than 70 percent of his passes. Im expecting numbers in the neighbourhood of 4,500 yards, 30 pass TDs, 12 INTs, 250 rush yards and 4 rush TDs. I just dont see Griffin III with his knee injury, lack of preseason action and weird dynamic with Mike Shanahan or Wilson without Percy Harvin for a big chunk of the year being able to match those stats. 3) What type of season do you expect from Steven Jackson in Atlanta this season? Cullen: For a 30-year-old running back -- a time when production generally starts to fade -- this is a really good situation for Jackson. Hes been cranking out 1,000-yard seasons in each of the last eight years for St. Louis, but has scored six touchdowns or fewer in each of the last four seasons because the Rams havent had much of a team supporting him. In Atlanta, Jackson is the supporting cast for one of the leagues best passing offences and a past-his-prime Michael Turner rushed for 11 touchdowns with the Falcons last year, so its not unreasonable to think that Jackson could roll to 1,000 rushing yards and maybe push double digit touchdowns this year. Fisher: As part of the Atlanta Falcons high-powered offence, I think Steven Jackson could be a top 10 fantasy RB this season, or very close to it. The move from St. Louis offence to Atlanta should outweigh the extra year of wear and tear on the now nine-year veteran. Michael Turner, who we can all agree was running on fumes last year with the Falcons, still managed a double-digit touchdown season. Jackson, a far superior runner, should have enough tread left on his tires to exceed that number and then some. All the warning lights go off with Jackson. Hes 30-years-old now and long ago passed 1,500 career carries. But he still looked good with the Rams most of the time last year (it was the rest of the offence that didnt) and even if he completely falls off a cliff skill-wise, youre still getting an RB2 (Turner finished 17th among running backs last season.) Ward: A very good one. Sure, Jackson is getting up there in age and has some of his explosiveness, but hes still coming off his eighth consecutive 1,000 yard season and Id be surprised if he didnt make it nine in row. Im not expecting huge rushing numbers in the Falcons pass-heavy offence but something in the 1,100 yards range with maybe a slight uptick in his receiving yards from last year sounds about right. Where I really expect more out of Jackson this year is in the touchdown department. The Falcons get into the red zone far more often than the Rams so he will have substantially more opportunities to score. Michael Turner, who looked awful last year, hit paydirt 11 times so double-digit touchdowns are definitely not out of the question for Jackson. Cheap Jerseys Store Wholesale Stitched Jerseys China NFL Jerseys White Cheap Jerseys From China Discount NFL Jerseys NFL Jerseys Outlet Stitched Jerseys ' ' '
CLEVELAND -- His blue sweatshirt drenched with beer, Twins manager Ron Gardenhire picked up the boxed bottle of Dom Perignon off his desk and smiled. Manuel Neuer Jersey . "Looks pretty good," he said, admiring the pricey Champagne. "Itll look good on the mantle, unless my wife and I drink it tonight. You just never know." Gardenhire became the 10th manager in major league history to win 1,000 games with the same team on Saturday as Minnesota, staked to an early lead by Brian Doziers homer on the games second pitch, beat the Cleveland Indians 7-3. Following the game, Gardenhire was doused with adult beverages by his players, who wore grey T-shirts that said, "1000 wins ... 67 ejections" on the front and "And Still Counting" on the back. Minnesotas Kyle Gibson limited Cleveland to one run over five innings in his season debut after Dozier led off the game with his homer against Carlos Carrasco. Gardenhire, who has managed Minnesota since 2002, joined Tom Kelly as the only managers in Twins history to reach 1,000 wins. Hes also the fifth active manager to hit the milestone, and he joined a list of managing immortals including Connie Mack, John McGraw, Walter Alston, Tommy Lasorda and Earl Weaver as the only ones to get all 1,000 wins with the same team. In typical fashion, the 56-year-old "Gardy," who has guided the Twins to six AL Central titles, downplayed his accomplishment. "I havent looked at the list," he said. "I kind of stayed away from all that stuff. We were kinda talking about it earlier. I really havent gotten into this very much: How many? Who? Maybe Ill look at it now. "I guess you tip your hat to those guys because I know how hard it is." As he spoke with reporters, Gardenhires cellphone buzzed with a flood of incoming congratulatory texts. One of his daughters called immediately after the game and his wife, Lindsay, was in his office as the Twins celebrated. "My kids and my family are very, very excited," he said. "Theyve been waiting for this." In addition to getting the bottle of bubbly from the Twins and the games lineup card as a souvenir, Gardenhire was also touched by the grey T-shirts, which included a photo on the front of him being thrown out by late umpire Wally Bell, who died of a heart attack in October. "Its really heartwarming because Wally Bell is on the front," Gardenhire said. "Hes a very, very dear friend of mine, so it means an awful lot to have that T-shirt with Wally on there -- and its also a pretty entertaining T-shirt." Before taking the mound, Gibson (1-0) did his usual round of high-fives with teammates and coaches in the dugout before delivering a message to Gardenhire. "I went up to him and said, Hey, lets get it today," said Gibson, who allowed one run and three hits in five-plus innings. "Its exciting to be the guy who is out there for the W but its Gardys W for sure. Its a pretty cool day to be a part of." Gibson made 10 starts as a rookie last season, and the Twins are counting on the 25-year-old to do more after giving him the fifth spot in the rotation. The right-hander worked around four walks -- two in the third, when he escaped a big inning by getting Nick Swisher to ground into a double play. Afterward, Gibson was most pleased about getting Gardenhire his win. "The short time Ive played for Gardy, its been a lot of fun," he said. "Hes fun to play for. Hes a great manager." Indians manager Terry Francona was the last active manager to reach 1,000 wins, and he was more than happy to welcome Gardenhire into the club. "Gardys been doing this for a long time," he said. "Yeah, I guess I wish it would have come in the next series. But hes been good at what he does for a long time. I think that number indicates hes getting old." When reminded that he also has 1,000 wins, Francona quipped: "Im old. Thats why I didnt say too many nice things about it." NOTES: Also on the list of managers with 1,000 wins with the same team are: Mike Scioscia, Kelly, Danny Murtaugh and Red Schoendienst. ... The Twins snapped a seven-game losing streak against the Indians. ... After going 0-for-13 to start the season, Dozier is 3-for-5 with a double and homer in this series. ... Twins OF Oswaldo Arcia was given the day off with a sore right hand. Gardenhire said Arcia injured his hand swinging in the batting cage earlier in the week in Chicago and it flared up during an at-bat late in Fridays game. Marc-Andre ter Stegen Germany Jersey . Richard Jefferson scored 17 points and Diante Garrett had a career-high 15 points as the Jazz had seven players with 10 points or more in Utahs largest margin of victory this season. Jerome Boateng Jersey . -- Quarterback Josh Johnson has returned to the San Francisco 49ers and his former college coach, Jim Harbaugh.FRANKFURT, Germany -- Bayer Leverkusen scored the fastest goal of the season on Sunday and beat Hertha Berlin 2-1 in the Bundesliga return for its new coach, moving up one place into fourth. In the late match, Hoffenheim beat Augsburg 2-0 to come within two points of its opponent in eighth place. Stefan Kiessling notched his 15th goal of the season with a header 40 seconds after kickoff to give Leverkusen a flying start under interim coach Sascha Lewandowski. Lewandowski was co-trainer until he quit a year ago, leaving Sami Hyypia in sole charge of the team. Hyypia was fired eight days ago. Leverkusen doubled the lead after Anis Ben-Hatira had hit the post for Berlin. Son Heung-min collected the rebound, launched a quick counteerattack and found Julian Brandt, who chipped over goalkeeper Thomas Kraft. Matthias Ginter Germany Jersey. Sandro Wagner pulled one back for Hertha with a header in the 38th. Hoffenheim controlled its match against Augsburg and went ahead in the 19th when Sejad Salihovic curled a left-foot free kick over the wall into the lower left corner. Augsburg goalkeeper Marwin Hitzdived to his left but failed to turn the ball around the post. Salihovic now has 11 goals this season, 10 of them from free kicks. Hoffenheim secured its 200th Bundesliga victory in the 41st. Hitz failed to punch a corner far enough and Tarik Elyounoussi fired at the goal. Paul Verhaegh cleared on the line but Jannik Vestergaard headed the ball back into the net. Cheap Jerseys Store Wholesale Stitched Jerseys China NFL Jerseys White Cheap Jerseys From China Discount NFL Jerseys NFL Jerseys Outlet Stitched Jerseys ' ' '
TSN. Joe Namath Jets Jersey .ca presents its latest weekly power rankings for the 2013-14 Barclays Premier League season. Rankings were weighted evenly between separate lists made by TSN Radio host and soccer analyst Gareth Wheeler as well as TSN.cas soccer editors. *Please note the ranking changes also take into account Matchday 13 that was played November 30th and December 1st, those results are in brackets for each team. 1. Arsenal (Last Week -1) Top of the table Arsenal were solid once again in a professional 2-0 victory over Hull City.  Nicklas Bendtner scored his first goal for the Gunners since 2011 in the second minute of the game setting a tone that would not change throughout the contest.  Mesut Ozil scored just after halftime and any fight that might have been in Hull was quickly washed away. (3-0W vs. Cardiff) 2. Manchester City (LW-4) Looking to respond to their poor away form to start the season, City picked up a 3-2 victory away to West Brom that was not as close as the score would suggest.  They built a three goal lead through Sergio Aguero and a brace from Yaya Toure before conceding twice in the final five minutes plus stoppage time to leave with a one goal victory. (3-0W vs. Swansea) 3. Chelsea (LW-2) Eden Hazard was the story for Chelsea in a wild 4-3 victory over Sunderland.  He twice gave his team the lead with strikes in the 36th and 62nd minute of the contest.  Frank Lampard and a Sunderland own goal provided the rest of the margin for Chelsea who held fast at the end to capture a very entertaining victory. (3-1W vs. Southampton) 4. Liverpool (LW-3) The story was Luis Suarez and the question was how many could he score against Norwich City.  The answer was four goals, all of the highlight reel variety, and add an assist in a 5-1 victory.  Suarez has an incredible 11 goals in five games against Norwich, though there doesnt seem to be a side that he cant dominate against right now anywhere in the League. (3-1L vs. Hull City) 5. Everton (LW-7) Bryan Oviedos 85th minute marker helped Everton do something they hadnt done since 1992, pick up a victory at Old Trafford.  It looked like it was going to be a solid point for the Toffees before the defender found himself alone in the box and fired home the winner.  Romelu Lukaku was strong for Everton in the victory. (4-0W vs. Stoke) 6. Tottenham (LW-9) A 73rd minute marker from Vlad Chiriches and a Lewis Holtby goal nine minute later brought Spurs back for a 2-1 victory over Fulham.  The victory was the first in four League games for Tottenham who now find themselves sixth just out of the European places.  They were deserved winners of this contest. (2-2D vs. Manchester United) 7. Manchester United (LW-5) Five minutes from picking up a point, United conceded the winner and fell 1-0 at the hands of Everton.  Wayne Rooney struck the post and missed another great chance before halftime and two more chances went by the boards in the second half of the game.  The Champions now find themselves 12 points off the top of the table. (2-2D vs. Tottenham) 8. Southampton (LW-6) The Saints fell 3-2 to Aston Villa in a game they dominated but in the end found themselves on the losing side.  Before the deciding marker they found themselves behind in the game twice and both times were able to equalize including Pablo Daniel Osvaldo just five minutes after they gave up the second goal.  11 minutes after that though, they were trailing once again and this time for good. (3-1L vs. Chelsea) 9. Newcastle United (LW-8) A four match winning streak came to a crashing end at the Liberty Stadium as Newcastle fell on the road to Swansea 3-0.  Swansea dominated the contest and though Newcastle had a few claims for penalties waved away, they didnt produce much else on the day. (2-1W vs. West Brom) 10. Swansea City (LW-10) It was a rather easy night for The Swans as they rolled to a 3-0 victory over Newcastle.  Goals from Jonjo Shelvey and Nathan Dyer as well as a Mathieu Debuchy own goal were the difference in the contest.  It wasnt all good for Swansea who added striker Alvaro Vazquez to their growing list of injured offensive players. (3-0L vs. Manchester City) 11. Aston Villa (LW-12) Three goals against the run of play led Aston Villa to a 3-2 victory over Southampton in a game the Saints dominated.  Gabriel Agbonlahor, Libor Kozak and Fabian Delph were all on target for Villa, with Delphs winner coming in the 80th minute to both seal and steal the three points. (0-0D vs. Sunderland) 12. Hull City (LW-14) Hull was not able to recover from giving up a goal in the second minute of the game as they fell 2-0 at the hands of Arsenal.  There really werent many high points for hull in this loss as they hand trouble working their way into the game and as a result were beaten in almost every aspect of the action. (3-1W vs. Liverpool)  13. West Bromwich Albion (LW-11)  A late arriving crowd and an even later comeback were the story for the Baggies as they fell 3-2 at the hands of Manchester City.  Kickoff was delayed 15 minutes at The Hawthorns due to a traffic jam, while Victor Anichebes goal, late in stoppage time, was only able to make the final score-line a little closer. (2-1L vs. Newcastle) 14. Cardiff City (LW-13) Though they looked good at times in the game, Cardiff was forced to settle for a scoreless draw against Stoke in the only game on Match day 14 that didnt feature a goal.  Declan John almost stole the game for his side but wasnt able to find the net for a late winner. (3-0L vs. Arsenal) 15. Stoke City (LW-15) On a day with many goals, Stoke and Cardiff played to a scoreless draw.  For Stoke it was a much better defensive performance following their four goal loss to Everton in their last League game.  Keeper Asmir Begovic was solid when called upon to help his team leave with a point. (4-0L vs. Everton) 16. Norwich City (LW-16) The Canaries were helpless against Luis Suarez as he tore them apart for four goals in a 5-1 loss to Liverpool.  Bradley Johnson scored in the 83rd minute for Norwich, but Suarez sent Raheem Sterling in for a fifth marker to restore the four goal lead he built.  It was total domination at the hands of a brilliant player. (1-0W vs. Crystal Palace) 17. West Ham United (LW-17) A headed goal conceded just before halftime was the difference in a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace.  The Hammers pressed hard at the end of the game and enjoyed more of the possession throughout the contest but were not able to produce an equalizing marker. (3-0W vs. Fulham) 18. Sunderland (LW-20) The Black Cats were on the wrong end of a seven goal thriller as they well 4-3 to Chelsea.  Phillip Bardsley was all over the map for Sunderland as in a two minute span he scored a goal at both ends.  His Own goal proved to be the winning marker for Chelsea, while his 86th minute strike gave his team a chance to push for an equalizer that never came for Sunderland. (0-0D vs. Aston Villa) 19. Crystal Palace (LW-19)  A 42nd minute marker from Marouane Chamakh was the difference as Palace scored a 1-0 victory over West Ham.  This was an important victory as Crystal Palace tries to start a bid for survival in the Premier League and a first at home under new manager Tony Pulis. (1-0L vs. Norwich) 20. Fulham (LW-18) The Martin Jol era might have ended earlier in the week but Fulham are still in poor form as they fell 2-1 to Tottenham.    Ashkan Dejagah gave the home side the lead in the second half before Spurs stormed back with two goals in a nine minute span to lay claim to the victory. (3-0L vs. West Ham)Trenton Cannon Jersey . But luckily for the Canadian squad, one goal was all it needed. Winnipegs Sophie Schmidt scored the winner off a Diana Matheson corner kick to seal Canadas third-place spot in the Torneio Internacional de Futebol Feminino in Brazil on Sunday. Sam Darnold Jets Jersey .Kessy tried to show what he can do playing left wing for the Oilers in 5-0 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday in pre-season action. With a 2-2 record in Week 1, The Big Man is set with his Week 2 predictions. The CFL on TSNs Chris Schultz makes his bold predictions, which includes the official return of the Ottawa Redblacks. Ottawa at Winnipeg                            Well, it is good to say it - Ottawa. As a life-long fan of the CFL, I can tell you many stories of the games and players I identified with that were Rough Rider alumni. Its great to have 0ttawa back. I truly dont have any idea how they will play this year or how many games theyll win. Yet Im optimistic as good teams arent about the best individual players as much as good players working efficiently together. The Redblacks have a solid coaching staff and I feel a good 24 to begin with so competitive games are a real expectation early in the season. Winnipeg? Surprise, surprise! I didnt see the win over the Argos on the horizon and they have a real opportunity to begin the season 2-0. The challenge for Winnipeg is that many of the Redblacks are unknown and theyre team strengths and weaknesses are will only be known after a month of football. A tough team to prepare for. I must stay with logic on this one, a Bombers win but much closer than score than the 45-21 victory over Toronto. More like 31-24 Winnipeg. B.C. at Montreal Both teams had disappointing losses to start the season, but of the two - Montreal was the greater disappointment. Every week there will be one or two players that desperately need to bounce back from a poor game and have a great one. This week its Troy Smith at quarterback for Montreal. His accuracy wasnt there in Calgary and he has to improve quickly - not only for the Als to win but for Troy to keep his position as a starter and leader. Patience is never found in abundance in pro football - quite the opposite in fact. It was good to see Brandon Whitaker back at runningg back and he was effective, but he may have to be even more effective this week. Sam Darnold Jersey. This one should be close but I like B.C. on the road. They are not going to allow another fake field goal for a first down or an onside kick for a change of possession. Neither team will dominate so B.C. by three in an upset. Hamilton at Edmonton Protection problems, quarterback hesitation problems, run defence problems and there are more problems right now than solutions in Hamilton. Not in Edmonton. Confidence should be high after the win over the Lions on the road and this being the home opener. How about Adarius Bowman, nine catches for 105 yards and a touchdown! Mike Reilly as a quarterback may have found some chemistry after one week of football. Zach Collaros has to improve fast, as Kent Austin still has Dan LeFevour as plan "B" who could turn into plan "A" before anticipated. I have to go with the confident Eskimos over a Hamilton team searching for confidence. Saskatchewan at Toronto  This one will be closer than anticipated. It would be easy to say the Riders in an easy win, but I would be shocked if Toronto didnt respond with a more professional response here in Week 2. I do think the Argo defence will play at a higher level in that the combination of pass rush and pass coverage will be much more evident. And I do not for see a 16-penalty first half repeat as was created in Winnipeg. Ricky Ray will have more opportunity this week at home. But - and a big but - the best offensive line may be in Regina. Fulton, Labatte, Picard, Best and Heenan are all athletic and technically sound. Also, the sixth best offensive lineman may be Dan Clark and hes used extensively in tight end run packages. I love my quarterbacks, receivers, running backs, line backers and defensive backs. But just like against Hamilton, I see Rider control thats closest to the line of scrimmage, offence and defensive lines. Riders by a touchdown.  Cheap Jerseys Store Wholesale Stitched Jerseys China NFL Jerseys White Cheap Jerseys From China Discount NFL Jerseys NFL Jerseys Outlet Stitched Jerseys ' ' '

"Big hits," he said. "Im all about hitting. I dont care who it is." Thats what the Houston Texans are counting on from the South Carolina defensive end after skipping a chance to take a quarterback -- their top need -- with the top pick Thursday night. Clowney was introduced on Friday in Houston, joining a team that features 2012 Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt. Clowney was already known as a top player before that hit in the Outback Bowl. But when he burst through the line and crashed into Vincent Smith, knocking his helmet off and the ball out of his hands in the process, his star power reached another level. Hes hoping to pile up plenty more highlight-reel hits this season, but knows hell have to be careful about how he delivers them. "Thats what I live for is making big hits," he said. "I hope I dont get no fines this year. I might have to dial it down a little." New Houston coach Bill OBrien, who took over a team that hasnt won since Sept. 15, raved about Clowneys many attributes. But one thing stood out to OBrien as he got to know Clowney. "He really talked about how much he loved winning and how winning was important to him," OBrien said. "These are the type guys that were looking for, were looking for team guys, were looking for tough guys, were looking for guys that are going to come in here and understand that theyre part of a team and theyre coming here to work hard." Houston general manager Rick Smith obviously coveted Clowney for his pass-rushing ability, but values hhis attitude perhaps just as much. Lucas Vazquez Jersey. "Hes driven, and in my opinion very committed to being an excellent football play, and we need that," Smith said. Clowney doesnt model his play after any player in particular, but he does study many guys to elevate his game. "I watch J.J. Watt, I watch Ray Lewis, I watch Lawrence Taylor before games," Clowney said. "I go out there on the field (and say): Im about to pull a Lawrence Taylor. Im about to pull a Ray Lewis today. I try to take over the game and try to dominate a game and thats what I do." Clowney got a good laugh during Thursdays news conference when OBrien referred to him as J.D. "I guess he has trouble pronouncing Jadeveon," Clowney said. "So I told him: Just call me J.D., man. Were going to keep it simple. And its quicker and easier." This isnt anything new to Clowney, who said people say his unique name wrong all the time. "I ask mom: Where you get that name from? I mispronounce it sometimes," he joked. "Its all right though. Ive got so many nicknames, people give me J., J.D. call me Clowney, 7. Ive got so many names. Just dont call me Clown." Everyone in his family has names that starts with the letter J, and his mother wanted to incorporate his father Davids name into her sons and came up with the hybrid name. Clowney grew up in Rock Hill, South Carolina, which has a population of less than 70,000 people. Hes excited about moving to big city, but is a bit concerned about the traffic in Houston, home to more than 2 million people. "I better get here early," Clowney said. "If I got to be here at 8, Ive got to get up at 5:30-6, get going and get here on time." Cheap Jerseys Store Wholesale Stitched Jerseys China NFL Jerseys White Cheap Jerseys From ChinaDiscount NFL Jerseys NFL Jerseys Outlet Stitched Jerseys ' ' '
